POSTDOCTOR RECRUITMENT
招收博士后和公派联合培养博士生
Weill Medical College of Cornell University
PI: Baolin Wang PH.D.
Departments of Cell and Developmental Biology Departments of Genetic Medicine
Research:
His lab is working on Hedgehog signaling in cancer and development. The Hedgehog (Hh) family of secreted signaling proteins plays fundamental roles in animal development, cell growth, and differentiation. Loss of or decrease in the Hh signaling pathway activity results in severe developmental birth defects, whereas inappropriate activation of the Hh signaling pathway is also associated with several common types of human cancer including basal cell carcinoma (a skin cancer) and medulloblastoma (a brain tumor). The Wang lab focuses on the elucidation of molecular mechanism of Hh signal transduction using a variety of approaches including molecular, cell and developmental biological, biochemical, and genetic (mouse knockout and knockin) methods. His lab also study the embryonic patterning, stem cell biology, and cancers that are related to Hh signaling.
Dr. Wang’s lab takes an integrated approach that includes biochemical, molecular, cell biological, and genetic methods to conduct the research. Dr. Wang’s lab has made a significant contribution to the elucidation of the molecular regulation of the Gli transcription factors in the Hedgehog signaling pathway. Anyone who is interested in the Dr. Wang’s research should contact him for the most current research projects or the postdoctor benefit.
