于学杰,医学博士,理学硕士、博士,德克萨斯大学盖尔文斯顿医学院病理系和微生物及免疫系终身副教授,生物防御及新生传染疾病中心科学家,Sealy疫苗开发中心科学家。于博士于1983年毕业于山东医科大学,1988年获中国预防医学科学院预防医学硕士学位,1993年获法国马赛地中海大学分子微生物学博士学位。1983年至1992年工作于中国预防医学科学院流行病学及微生物学研究所,并于1989年提升为助理研究员。其间他作为访问科学家在美国工作过两年,后于1988年返回中国。1992至1993年他在法国地中海大学工作并获得博士学位。1993年起在美国的德克萨斯大学医学院做博士后、讲师,1997年升为助理教授,2003年获终身副教授职位。于博士获得多项研究资助,其中包括美国国立健康研究院过敏及传染性疾病学会的R01和U01资助, 获得多项美国专利。他在欧美英文杂志上发表了五十多篇文章,参与写作了最具权威的医学微生物学参考书, 其中包括医学微生物学、预 防生物恐怖袭击与新生传染疾病疫苗、真核生物和 伯杰(Bergey)细菌系统分类手册。于博士对传染性疾病和生物防御有广泛的兴趣。作为研究虫媒传播细胞内寄生菌(如Rickettsia, Ehrlichia)的主要科学家之一,他的研究兴趣在于阐明虫媒传播细胞内寄生菌的分子发病机理及如何防御新生传染病和生物恐怖袭击。于博士多次 担 任美国国立健康研究院及其他基金评审专家。他对医学微生物及生物防御的研究曾引起休斯敦中文报纸美南新闻的关注、报道。于博士积极参与、支持当地中国人社区活动,曾任德克萨斯大学盖尔文斯顿医学院中国学者学生会副主席。于博士和夫人张立红创立了德克萨斯州盖尔文斯顿市中文学校。


王山鸣博士, 1986年毕业于山东医科大学微生物系,获硕士学位。毕业后在中国中医研究院工作。1989年赴瑞士实验癌症研究所学习,于1994年获博士学位。同年到美国西北大学进行博士后研究,后转入芝加哥大学继续博士后研究并留校任教。2004年,回西北大学任助理教授并出任ENH研究所功能基因组中心主任。主要兴趣有:了解人类基因组的基本结构,探索人类基因组在生理和病理条件下的动态转化模式。主要贡献有:发展和改进了数项用于大规模分析基因组结构及基因表达的高通量技术,揭示了在人类基因组及果蝇基因组中存有大量新基因,确定了人类造血系统细胞分化的正常基因表达谱,分析了急性粒细胞白血病基因组的异常基因表达特征。王山鸣博士的研究得到美国国立卫生研究院的资助。他目前的研究方向包括:鉴定人类新基因, 探索人类正常基因组变异性, 分析癌症基因组的结构改变, 以用于癌症的诊断和治疗。

找了半天没找到
只在baylor的一个研究所里看到他的名字

昨天上午听了一上午
收获颇多
其所作肿瘤免疫的东西的确较前沿
感受也挺深
昨天道免疫所的三个人都是ph d and md
基础研究服务临床
相比之下
咱们这里结合的就差远了

可是他们是如何获得md的呢?
我的意思是,是因为他们在中国获得医学学士而等价过去的,还是他们在美国完成医学训练后获得的?

美国有MD&PHD这个学位培养制度,可以直接读的,并不是说明他们太大的问题。

要干临床,还是要在美国进行完一系列的后续培训才可以行医的。
我们这边的本科称为英制的MBBS比较合适的。

那可不可以这样认为,他们的经历一般都是:在国外做完phd,或许还拿到了绿卡,然后找医院进行培训,完成了系列的后续培训而拿到md,之后开始行医。

他们可以读这种学位培养制度?这不是针对美国本土的本科毕业生设计的吗?而且也需要相应的mcat成绩呀。
