Job Title: Academic Communication Officer (Medical Liaison)
CORE JOB TASKS

1.     The academic communication officer (ACO) role brings value to our company and customers through the following activities:

1.1. Serving as a scientific resource for relevant thought leaders by responding to their research, educational, and clinical practice needs.

1.2. Developing trusted, mutually beneficial relationships with relevant thought leaders.

1.3. Sharing clinical insights provided by relevant thought leaders to better inform our company’s strategic direction for research and commercialization.

2.   The ACO role is focusing on scientific supporting through following activities:

2.1.   Proactively develop relationships with a strategic subset of relevant thought leaders.

2.2   Provide specialized services to the general health care community, responding to unsolicited requests for medical information.

2.3   Share feedback from customers with internal Medical, Marketing, and Sales functions (for example, thought leaders’ impression of data based on clinical experience, views of the general therapeutic area landscape, or reactions to promotional pieces) and provide input to the development of brand strategies.

2.4   Provide scientific and medical training for sales representatives.

2.5   Provide scientific information to external speakers per their request.

2.6   Accept invitations to speak at scientific/medical meetings (including smaller educational meetings such as institutional seminars and grand rounds) as recognized experts in their field.

2.7   Attend Scientific Advisory Board Meetings to engage in scientific discussion and respond to medical inquiries.

2.8   Play a role in management of product issues.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

.

l Candidates for the ACO role must possess a level of formal education and experience in a scientific or clinical discipline that will enable them to be received as scientifically credible peers by clinical experts (Medical degree is a must, M.S. degree in the specific therapeutic area, eg. Onco is a plus).

l More than 5 year's clinical experience in specific therapeutic area (eg. clinical Onco or Onco-related Department)

l Good communication skill and presentation skill

l Good teamwork spirit plus flexible with business travels

l Good medical and scientific writing skills.

l Ability to manage and develop trusted relationship with relevant targeted thought leaders through professional service.

l Fluent English communication, Oversea experience is a plus

l Enthusiastic, energetic, self-starter, capable of working independently with remote supervision if applicable
